A substantial portion of its engagements involve cross-border transactions or clients having interests or affiliations in multiple jurisdictions. The Firm has a distinguished reputation based on the expertise and experience of its attorneys, the attention paid to personal service and detail, and the judgment bought to bear on clients' affairs.

The Firm and all of its attorneys, individually, are rated AV by Martindale-Hubble, its highest rating. It has been selected for inclusion in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers.

The Firm is a member of Eurojuris International, a network of small and midsize firms operating in all 27 jurisdictions of the European Union and having correspondent firms in approximately 50 additional countries around the world. At its annual International Congress at The Hague, the Netherlands, in October, 2012, the Firm received the Eurojuris International award for “Best Partner Firm, Correspondent Member” for 2012.

Our Niche

Increasingly, large law firms (those having hundreds of lawyers practicing in dozens of offices in the United States and internationally) eschew legal work for individuals and small businesses. It simply does not fit their business model for delivering legal services. That model is based upon leveraging multiple layers of less experienced lawyers on each matter, which in turn presumably justifies extraordinarily high hourly rates for senior lawyers, whose major function has become "managing" multiple million-dollar client accounts. As a result, entire practice areas, such as estate planning, have frequently been discarded, and corporate transactions, for example, of less than $10 million (depending upon the firm), are often handled by junior attorneys.

We take the opposite approach.

All matters are handled by senior attorneys, experienced in their areas of engagement, who are in direct communication with the client. Service can therefore be fast, efficient and responsive. Redundancy and delay, with their attendant increases in costs, are avoided. Direct attention to matters, together with personalized service, is therefore the rule, not the exception. All of our attorneys previously practiced in large firms and are pleased to have left the large firm business model behind. Our clients universally agree with the choice we have made.

History

The Firm is the successor to Moore & Bruce, LLP, which over its 20 year history became recognized as one of the preeminent international private client law firms in the United States. All of the Firm's attorneys were affiliated with the predecessor firm.
